2026 National Champions Crowned in Tauranga

Five days of competition have come to a close at the 2026 XP Gymnastics Nationals, with New Zealand’s senior national champions crowned at Mercury Baypark in Tauranga.

Around 900 athletes from across the country came together for Nationals, competing across aerobics, men’s and women’s artistic, rhythmic and trampoline gymnastics.

Across the week, the competition floor delivered national titles, personal milestones and standout performances, while around the venue teammates, coaches, officials, volunteers, whānau and supporters helped create the atmosphere that makes Nationals about more than results alone.

Canterbury finished the week at the top of the provincial medal table, with every province represented on the medal tally by the end of competition.

Nationals is also made possible by the people working around the competition floor. A huge thank you to the volunteers, officials, coaches, event crew and supporters who contributed their time and energy throughout the week, and to our partners and sponsors whose support helps us deliver the event.
