Final medal table for all provinces at the 2026 XP Gymnastics Nationals

Five days of competition have come to a close at the 2026 XP Gymnastics Nationals, with New Zealand’s senior national champions crowned at Mercury Baypark in Tauranga.

Around 900 athletes from across the country came together for Nationals, competing across aerobics, men’s and women’s artistic, rhythmic and trampoline gymnastics.

Across the week, the competition floor delivered national titles, personal milestones, and standout performances, while around the venue teammates, coaches, officials, volunteers, whānau, and supporters helped create the atmosphere that makes Nationals about more than results alone.

Canterbury finished the week at the top of the provincial medal table, with every province represented on the medal tally by the end of competition.

Mahi Tahi Award

Congratulations to Wellington, recipients of the 2026 Mahi Tahi Award, recognising the exceptional support shown by their athletes, coaches, and supporters throughout the five days of competition. It was especially great to see athletes from different codes getting behind one another across both arenas and contributing to such a supportive team environment.

The 2026 Gymnast of the Year Awards were also presented during Nationals, recognising outstanding athletes across our codes.

To close out the week, a heartfelt thank you to our athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, whānau, supporters, and event partners. Together, you helped create five memorable days of gymnastics in Tauranga.
