Traditionally an OE (Overseas Experience) meant heading to the United Kingdom (particularly London) and working any job possible to raise funds to go travelling. For a variety of reasons including changes to visa laws, this is now changing. Young people are looking for a direction and purpose to their travel and the growth of leadership opportunities and training within gymnastics in New Zealand is helping to encourage many young people to look for opportunities overseas to further their learning and development while using their gymnastics skills and experience.
