We have been privileged to be part of a Kiwisport funding initiative in Wellington since 2010. The project involved four sports – Athletics, Football, Gymsports and Aquatics. The change of structure for funding allocation has resulted in a significant increase in moveMprove® delivery, with schools having to choose two programmes (rather than one) from 2016.

Bookings for 2017 are nearly all confirmed with only a few spaces left for schools who are Decile 1-5. To date, there are 3,443 children booked to take part in the moveMprove® programme next year, from Wellington to Otaki. It’s exciting to see that so many young children will be gaining crucial fundamental movement skills through the programme.
