FIG Level 2 Academy – Aerobics, Rhythmic, Trampoline
The FIG Level 2 Coach Academy for AER, RG and TRA, is to be held at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra from 13-20 December, 2016.

FIG Level 2 is equivalent to the GymSports NZ Senior Coach course. The Academy runs for seven days and concludes with a comprehensive theoretical and practical examination. New Zealand will not be hosting a FIG Level 2 Academy for AER, RG and TRA for at least two years, so coaches wishing to gain a Senior Coach qualification must attend in Australia.
To be eligible to attend, coaches must:
- Hold a minimum of Junior Coach qualification for at least two years in AER, RG or TRA
- Be coaching with senior level athletes
- Be at least 18 years old
With New Zealand following the FIG Academy programme, there had been some overlap with course material from TRA. This means that there will no longer be a Junior Advanced Coach qualification.
