This last weekend saw the first Trampoline National Squad training camp of 2025. The three-day camp, held at Icon Trampoline, combined high-performance training and workshops, fostering both physical and mental growth among the athletes.

The camp focused on connection and intention setting, ensuring athletes refined their skills while strengthening their team culture and personal purpose. A key feature was the athlete-led presentations, where participants shared insights from their own journeys. These courageous conversations deeply resonated, particularly the exploration of their âwhyâ, which sparked multiple lightbulb moments.
Rebecca Cooke led a workshop on trampoline-specific nutrition, emphasizing getting the basics right before considering alternatives. Greg Pain from Biosport focused on the biomechanics of core strength, shoulder range of motion, and jump height improvementâall crucial for performance. TC judging advisor Maree Stenning presented an overview of changes in the new code of points.

Reflecting on the weekend, the coaching team expressed pride in the athletesâ commitment to growth. âI was so extremely proud of our athletes this weekend. Their dedication not only to their training, but to supporting each other, and sharing their knowledge was inspiring,â commented Olympic coach Angie Dougal.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Icon Trampoline for the venue, presenters Rebecca, Greg, and Maree, and coaches Angie Dougal, John Howe, and Will Rotte for their time and leadership. With such a strong start, the squad is set for an exciting year ahead.
