Announcing the 2025 Gymnastics NZ Board

Anna Robertsone-News

We’re pleased to announce our 2025 board, following the AGM.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Emma Brookes and Lisa Gibson, who have stepped down from the Board this year. Their leadership, insight, and dedication have been greatly valued, and we thank them for their service to the gymnastics community.

We welcome back Kierran Tuhi, and newly elected board members Sarah Riches and Michele Hawke CNZM. We look forward to the experience and perspective they will bring as we continue to support and grow gymnastics across Aotearoa.

Appointed Members

The Board Appointments Panel have confirmed that Quinton Hall and Sally McKechnie have been re-appointed as appointed board members of Gymnastics NZ.

Quinton will be starting his fourth term as a board member and his third as chair. A founding member of Te Wero Gymnastics Inc. he brings a wealth of experience in general management, technology, HR, finance, and tourism. He is the former chief executive of Ngāi Tahu Tourism and is passionate about supporting gymnastics nationally, inspired by the positive impact the sport has had on his daughter.

Sally, Deputy Chair since 2024, has over 20 years’ experience as one of New Zealand’s leading public and administrative lawyers. She brings deep expertise in regulatory law, public inquiries, and governance, and currently serves on the boards of Callaghan Innovation and Cricket Wellington. Sally also chaired the Gymnastics NZ Steering Committee and is a member of several professional legal and governance associations.

Congratulations to all board members and thank you to everyone who participated in the AGM and election process.
