We are pleased to announce that Holly Davies from Hamilton City Gymsports has been selected for, and has accepted, the 2017/2018 Ollerup scholarship in Denmark – a Youth Leadership programme taught through gymnastics

Holly is currently a lead coach at Hamilton City GymSports coaching a variety of classes including PlayGym (Under 5), Recreation classes, Women’s Artistic Step 2 and 3 as well as helping out with the delivery of school and holiday programmes.

Holly has been a volunteer for the club for the past eight years, especially around competition time.  She supports the club by helping set up the gym, working in the competition office, in the kitchen, on the door, as a floor manager, score holding, recording and other little jobs that pop up. “Volunteering to the club is my way of saying thanks to all the good times I have had with gymnastics” comments Holly.

Holly sees Ollerup as a wonderful opportunity to build on her own education as well as learning from her peers at the academy. Holly has chosen to study TeamGym for the 9 months she’s at the school. Holly has a really strong passion for child development.

On completion of her Ollerup scholarship, Holly will return to Hamilton City GymSports to her current role as lead coach as well as sharing her knowledge in Team Gym, supporting XTND and volunteering both at a club and national level.
