We have a wonderful opportunity through our partnership with Ollerup to offer members a year-long scholarship to attend the school and study in TeamGym, Tumbling or Parkour. The Academy of Physical Education in Ollerup is the oldest academy of physical education in Denmark.

Alanah Goldingham received the 2018-2019 scholarship and is halfway through her scholarship. Alanah’s, originally from Hutt Valley Gymnastics in Wellington, last letter home included:

“The first week back has been absolutely crazy especially with 100 more people. We just had our intro week and are starting a normal schedule this week. It’s been loads of fun getting to know everyone and also seeing all my old people. I have changed lines from tumbling x to power tumbling so that’ll be fun and interesting.”

Teresa Iaccarino is the 2019-2020 scholarship recipient from Argos Gymnastics in Tauranga. Teresa has been a member and involved in the club for 14 years. Teresa is an XTND Graduate, a qualified Women’s Artistic Gymnastic coach and judge and currently coaches a STEP 4 group. She was also an integral part in setting up a new tumbling programme at Argos, and now, her passion for tumbling has led to her Ollerup Scholarship to study tumbling. We wish her all the very best in her new adventure.
