Over the weekend, the full New Zealand senior trampoline and DMT squad came together in Christchurch for a dynamic and inspiring training camp.
A big thank you to Olympia and Christchurch School of Gymnastics for hosting, to coaches Alex, John, and Angie for giving up their time, and to our senior athletes for planning and leading much of the weekend’s programme.
The schedule was a mix of tactical, technical, and team-building activities that left everyone motivated and inspired for the road ahead. Highlights included ballet sessions with Maddie and Dylan, a round of frisbee golf, and fine-tuning time of flight scores with help from Veriflite.
“One of the best parts was seeing each athlete step up to help run the weekend, leading different activities, being vulnerable, and sharing their own knowledge with the team,” shared athlete Sienna French. “Having the whole team together and learning from other athletes, as well as coaches, was invaluable.”
By working on more than just skills, the weekend has brought the team closer together and sharpened their focus as they work towards the 2025 World Championships in November.
