The Marlborough Championships held in Blenheim late June has been dubbed one of the friendliest competitions in the South Island. Teams from all around the country descended on Blenheim to compete in the Championships and we managed to catch up with a few of the MAG boys who’d traveled down from Auckland and across from Christchurch. Blenheim had been chosen as a trial for the MAG lads for the International Tour to Japan. Kyleab Ellis from Tri Star Gymnastics Club in Auckland, commented “it is good to go somewhere outside of a main centre to a comp that is well run, in a fantastic facility with a great friendly feel”. He also said it was good preparation for their upcoming World Championships trial.

Huge congratulations must go to the fully volunteer team at Blenheim Gymnastics Club for their wonderful hospitality and a beautifully run competition. With over 500 entries across Gym For All, MAG and WAG you can see that Clubs really enjoy coming back year after year.
