The 2026 competition season is officially underway, with events taking place across the country through to September. Whether you’re a parent, supporter, or simply interested in seeing gymnastics in action, there are plenty of ways to follow along and get involved.

Across the season, events provide opportunities for athletes to showcase new skills, build confidence, and create moments that can last a lifetime. Some events are also qualifying events for the XP Gymnastics Nationals, which will take place in Tauranga in the September school holidays.
How to follow the action:
- Attend an event: competitions are held most weekends at clubs around New Zealand, and spectators are welcome. Check the events calendar to find an event near you.
- Follow live scoring: some events offer live scoring so you can track results in real time. Follow Scoreholder on Facebook for live links.
- Follow club socials: some host clubs may share updates, photos, or results via their social media channels.
From local competitions through to the XP Gymnastics Nationals in Tauranga at the end of September, there are plenty of ways to follow the season and support gymnasts across Aotearoa.
