In the FIG international judging pathway, there are four levels of judges, starting from Brevet Category 4 going up to Brevet Category 1. A judge does an intercontinental judges course at the beginning of a four-year cycle where the results of their theory and practical exams places them in one of the four categories.
Once awarded a Brevet, the judge then must judge at a minimum number of international events of a particular standard, to then be able to maintain or increase their Brevet status for the next Olympic cycle.
A big congratulations goes out to four NZ judges who have achieved the highest international qualification available – Brevet Category 1:
-
Michelle Woolf – WAG – Hutt Valley Gymsports
- Janine Glover – TRA – Icon Trampoline
- Lance Henry – TRA – Icon Trampoline
- Philip Henry – DMT – Icon Trampoline
Our judges are volunteers who devote a lot of their own time and money into their qualifications and maintaining them. As a community, we are very lucky to have so many devoted judges striving for such excellence.
