Bronwyn Dibb Hits World Champs Fresh Off Double Gold

Anna Robertsone-News

When Bronwyn Dibb steps onto the double mini trampoline tomorrow morning at the 2025 Trampoline World Championships, it will mark more than just another competition for the former world champion — it will mark a comeback two years in the making.

Bronwyn won double mini gold at the 2022 World Championships

Dibb, who was crowned 2022 World Champion in Double Mini, has spent the past two seasons off the international circuit, recovering from two surgeries — one on her knee and one on her ankle — and rebuilding her strength, skill, and competition readiness from the ground up.

“I’m not getting any younger,” she laughed during an interview at Nationals in September. “But the body’s feeling good. Knee’s good, ankle’s good, both feeling strong. I’m happy with where I’m at.”

Two weeks ago, she proved it.

Competing internationally for the first time since 2022, Dibb claimed double gold, winning both trampoline and double mini at the Loulé Cup in Portugal. It was the perfect lead-in to Worlds, and a reminder that her trademark power, control, and composure haven’t gone anywhere.

It was more than a result. It was proof that the comeback work had paid off. The double gold performance showed she wasn’t just returning to competition, she was returning in world-class form.

But even before that, Dibb was clear about her approach. Speaking back at Nationals, she said the goal wasn’t simply medals, it was progression.

“For me it’s not really all about the medal. It’s about being a better athlete and improving my skills.”

Portugal simply confirmed she was on the right track.

Her post-competition message said it all:

“After nearly two years off the international stage and two surgeries later, I’m beyond grateful to be back out there representing my country and wearing the fern. Loulé Cup was the perfect step toward Worlds, and I’m still a little blown away to have come home with double gold.”

Now, she’s set for back-to-back routines on the world stage once again competing in trampoline tonight, before returning to her specialist event, double mini, tomorrow morning (NZT).

Alongside the excitement, there’s deep appreciation — for the support team that helped rebuild her body and confidence, and for the chance to compete again at the highest level.

“None of it would’ve been possible without the amazing people beside me every step of the way. I’m grateful for every part of this journey and so excited for the World Championships.”

Tonight, she returns to the trampoline. Tomorrow, she returns to the event where she became World Champion.

Whether it ends in medals, milestones, or momentum, one thing is already clear:
Bronwyn Dibb is back.
