Since November 2016, international judges across all gymnastic codes have been revalidating their international qualifications. Judges have been studying for months and have to undertake comprehensive theory and practical exams. Since November, Gymnastics NZ has had 34 judges attend courses in Slovakia, Spain, Azerbaijan, Denmark, Australia and New Zealand.

Gymnastics New Zealand hosted the Rhythmic Gymnastics International Judging Course in Auckland in March. The course had 31 participants from Australia, Hong Kong, Canada, Lithuania and New Zealand.

Congratulations to the following judges who have achieved the highest International qualification achievable – Brevet Category 1:
