Practical Coaching Hours and migration of coach/judge qualifications

At the end of each year, Gymnastics New Zealand collects practical coaching hours from clubs. This information has previously been collected on excel spreadsheets. As we roll out our new database, there will be changes to this process. Through the Club Portal, clubs will be able to input coaching hours directly to Gymnastics New Zealand.

Currently, Gymnastics New Zealand is in the process of migrating coach and judge qualifications onto the new database. This process is being completed as clubs load their coaches and judges into Friendly Manager. Once a club has their qualifications imported into the new database, club administrators will be able to submit practical coaching hours through the Club Portal. Coaching Hours for 2018 should be submitted by 31 March 2019.

Additionally, clubs will be able to use the portal to register coaches onto courses and workshops. The current website entry process will remain in place until the end of January (after GymSchool). It is planned that clubs will be able to register for courses for those which occur from February onwards.

Education Calendar and Prices

The education and event teams have been busy working on draft education calendars for 2019. Please keep checking the website to see when drafts are available. Education prices (which from 2019 will include GST) will be released soon and will also be available on the website and through the Club portal.
