We are excited to bring you a whole new livestream experience for the 2022 New Zealand Gymnastics Championships. This new experience has been created in response to feedback from previous years, which had a strong theme around being able to get a good close view of athletes, particularly those on artistic apparatus with the inability to ‘zoom-in’ on any one particular athlete. Another strong point of feedback was the lack of on-demand viewing. Previously the livestream had concluded at the end of each day and viewing performances after the fact was not possible.
We have been working with our production company to rectify both points and are now super excited to be able to bring you a new and improved livestream experience.
How to Watch
- Simply go to bit.ly/watchnzgymchamps2022 and sign up.
- Go to Plans & Pricing on the top menu and select which sports you would like to watch or
- Click on the floor or apparatus that you would like to watch and that will tell you what pass you can buy to watch it.
- Sit back and enjoy up to four days of non-stop gymnastics action.
12 Dedicated Channels
Channels are packaged by code, so you can choose to watch just one gymnastics sport or have full access to the full event experience.
- Rhythmic and aerobics – 1 channel
Multiple cameras in this area so you can better follow the alternating performances on these two competition floors. - Trampoline – 2 channels
On one channel you will get a raised view of the trampoline competition, and on the other, you will see the double-mini and tumbling tracks. - Artistic – 9 channels
With a camera on every piece of apparatus, you will be able to follow an athlete around the artistic floor by clicking on the piece of apparatus the athlete is on, and watch them like you were standing right next to them.
Commentary
Professional commentators with some of our community experts will be talking you through some of the performances on the livestream. Our professional commentators have worked on Sky Sport and commentated at Commonwealth and Olympic Games. Keep an eye on our social channels as we introduce them.
Try Before You Buy – 4pm-6pm Tuesday 12 July
So that you know what you are paying for, we are offering a free livestream on training day. This will give you the chance to see what the livestream will look like before you go ahead and purchase tickets. If you are not happy with the upgraded coverage, then you know not to buy tickets.

On-demand Access
All full event passes come with on-demand access, so you can watch for up to 3 months after the event finishes. This is also a useful tool for coaches and athletes to review performances once they’re back in the gym.
