Wild West Fun at the 2025 GymClub Challenge

Anna Robertsone-News

Manawatu Gymsports once again delivered an incredible GymClub Challenge over the weekend, this year with a fun Wild West twist. Eighteen clubs took part, including three first-time participants: Waitara, Gisborne, and Onslow.

The event celebrated all things Gym for All, featuring TeamGym, GfA apparatus, parkour speed and freestyle, tumbling, aerobics, rhythmic, trampoline, and double mini, plus a much-loved hobby horse race for the adults, which had the crowd cheering.

Every athlete was recognised for their efforts, with certificates, ribbons, and medals awarded to the all-around champions. The energy and enthusiasm from athletes, coaches, and Team Fun continues to grow each year, making this event a true highlight on the Gym for All calendar.

Over the weekend, the GfA Sport Development Committee (SDC) also hosted forums across all codes to discuss current programmes and gather valuable feedback from the community. A big thank you to the SDC for giving their time to connect and collaborate.
