We are pleased to announce that the Gymnastics NZ Constitution—updated to align with the Incorporated Societies Act 2022—was formally approved at the 2025 AGM, receiving over two-thirds of the vote.

The new constitution is fully compliant with the new legislation and marks an important step in preparing for the re-registration process. It will officially come into effect upon re-registration.

As part of the sector-wide transition, all incorporated societies, including affiliated clubs, are required to update and re-register their constitutions by April 2026 under the new Act.

To support this, we have developed guidance to assist clubs with their own constitution updates. This is available in the weekly newsletters, or you can contact your relationship manager directly for access and support.
