The 2025 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Jakarta marked the first worlds of the new international cycle and an impressive showing for New Zealand’s artistic gymnasts, who combined fresh faces with seasoned experience on the global stage.

In the men’s team, standout performances came from William Fu-Allen, who placed 24th on floor — one of New Zealand’s strongest results in recent years — and Misha Koudinov, who finished 21st on high bar at his 11th World Championships. Misha continues to demonstrate world-class quality and remarkable longevity in the sport.
Teammates Logan Curtis, Keegan Green, and Daniel Stoddart made their World Championships debuts, gaining invaluable experience and contributing to a strong team performance.

For the women’s team, Jun McDonald and Freya Reid each made their World Championships debut, showing great composure across all apparatus, while Georgia-Rose Brown brought her trademark poise and experience to her sixth World Championships.

- Freya Reid: vault 101/117, uneven bars 90/119, beam 110/129

Unfortunately Alisa Wada withdrew due to injury, and we wish her the best with her recovery.
