We are delighted to share that Aimee Didierjean has been appointed to the Sport Integrity Commission Te Kahu Raunui’s inaugural Athlete Advisory Group (AAG). Aimee has been a valued member of the Gymnastics NZ Athletes’ Council since its formation last year, and her selection reflects both her depth of experience and her strong commitment to athlete voice.
Aimee’s journey through gymnastics spans almost every part of the system. She began recreational gymnastics at age six, spent 11 years in the STEPs and IDP pathways, and represented New Zealand internationally in 2020. She has judged since age 16, coached, and for three years, commentated the artistic livestream at Nationals. She has also contributed to athlete-focused gymnastics projects, including the Training Guidelines Working Group, which completed its work last year. This broad involvement gives Aimee a well-rounded perspective that will serve the AAG well.
The group brings together current and former high-performance athletes from a range of sports to provide lived-experience insight into safeguarding, anti-doping, competition manipulation, and other integrity matters, ensuring athlete realities and needs remain central.
